Gear Box
A high-speed gearbox was specifically designed and manufactured to a 3.317:1 nominal gear ratio, with
1000kW production at 5,971 RMP input, 1800 RPM output.
Gear Box Features
- Double helical through hardened gearing per AGMA 6011-H98
- A gear box oil pump dedicated circulating lube system (see below for details)
- All main bearings have temperature sensors
- Remote mounted oil and ar cooler sized for an ambient temperature of 100F
- Two RTD stem type temperature sensors for each input shaft bearing with a 4-20mA transmitter and NEMA 4 junction box
- Small footprint and weight
- Air cooled
Oil Sump Details
For operation at three-phase 190/360 volts 50Hz, or three-phase 220/440 volts 60Hz. Dedicated circulating lube system with:
- Single oil filter
- Suction strainer
- Pressure switch
- Pressure gauge
- Temperature gauge
- Auxiliary motor-driven, close coupled pump
Two Associated Sub-Systems

- Requires 14 gallons of MIL-L-23699 Turbine oil
- Oil pressure is set at 20-25 psi at 100F or 38C
- Motor-driven, positive displacement gear pump

- Maximum gearbox inlet temperature of 150F or 65C3
- 3 Micron absolute spin-on oil filter
- Motor-driven, temperature actuated, computer-controlled gear pump
- Cooling radiator with motor-driven forced air fan
- Closed-loop system
